**_Key Responsibilities:_**
- Support work experience placements across all pathway vocations including evenings and weekends, flexibility will be required dependant on placement.
- Support students transition into work following their Derwen programme, as planned and appropriate
- Undertake relevant training to gain required skills to support students effectively.
- Transport students to external work experience placement.
- Support student with travel training to placement.
- Direct contact with work placement providers to ensure smooth running of programme.
- Prepare ongoing diaries/reports for tutorials/reviews.
- Compile work placement portfolios including assessment reports, progress reporting and RARPA achievements.
- Record progress at placement using relevant technology and using social media platforms as required.
- Contribute to the provision and promotion of relevant IAG.
- Contribute to quality assurance activities as part of the team. Attend departmental meetings.
- Develop and use appropriate and stimulating teaching resources including ICT.
- Work alongside teaching and learning staff on vocational activities.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested.

- Friendly and professional manner together with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking with the ability to exhibit discretion and diplomacy in order to negotiate successful outcomes
- The ability to work independently at placements and make informed decisions
- Highly motivated
- The ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Relevant Industry Sector knowledge, Hospitality, Catering, Housekeeping, Retail, Horticulture, Business/ commercial knowledge and experience
- Proven success of working within a similar role or vocation
- Knowledge of Ofsted framework / external quality standards
- Knowledge of Accreditation and RARPA
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
- Outstanding communication skills with individuals/staff at all levels
- Highly motivated individual
- Competent in MS office
- Must be an experienced driver and be willing to undertake the mini bus training
- Teaching and Learning course qualification or willingness to undertake
- Availability to work mostly evenings and weekends with some flexibility

Approved - pro rata salary £19,639 - £21,296 includes 7% unsociable hours payment for working Thursday evening and sunday day
