Join us as a Climate Reporting Manager
- Working with stakeholders across the bank, you'll deliver robust and accurate reporting and develop a sense of shared commitment to our climate plans and goals, helping us to reduce the carbon footprint of our direct operations and wider operational valuechain
- We'll look to you to use your knowledge and expertise to regularly report, forecast and provide insight on the bank's climate goals for our own operations
- You'll make sure we have a strong reporting capability in place to understand our performance, gaining insights on how we can improve further and to demonstrate leadership and progress toward our ambitious goals
- This role offers excellent development and visibility, and the work you do will help us to achieve our ambition to be a leading bank helping to address the climate challenge

**What you'll do**
As a Climate Reporting Manager, you'll lead carbon accounting and reporting activities for scopes 1, 2 and relevant scope 3 operational emissions to demonstrate how the bank is meeting its reporting and disclosure requirements in relation to climate and environmentalissues and to drive progress across the business.
As well as this, you'll be providing your expertise to our franchises and functions and supporting the engagement with internal and external stakeholders around environmental issues to help demonstrate thought leadership and proactive engagement.
Your other key responsibilities will include:

- Delivering annual climate data reporting requirements for the bank's operational footprint
- Engaging key data owners and third party suppliers across our business to improve data quality
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of our greenhouse gas emissions in alignment to recognised carbon accounting standards and international standards for reporting emissions
- Analysing data and compiling our operational carbon footprint, building forecast scenarios, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping to align our carbon reduction plans to external best practice
- Liaising with internal and external auditors to make sure our data is robust and independently verified to carbon standards or frameworks
- Leading the production of monthly climate related metrics for internal use, compiling a monthly dashboard report, enabling a self-service ownership of target achievement and delivery of results
- Keeping pace with relevant legislation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and for emerging methods to drive continuous improvement

**The skills you'll need**
We're looking for someone with the ability to take ownership for carbon accounting and reporting activities, to engage effectively with data owners and ensure complete, accurate, credible and auditable data related to greenhouse gas emissions. You'll need acombination of technical capability and strong communication skills to deliver information to different audiences, internally or externally, to create concise and compelling information.
Along with supplier and relationship management experience, you'll have experience of engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability networks and key sustainability influencers.
In addition, you'll demonstrate:

- Experience of dealing with technical and complex information, reports and data and the ability to distil information succinctly
- An understanding of the financial services industry
- Experience of leading or supporting innovative stakeholder engagement initiatives and communications
- Project management skills
