- Overseeing the payroll department and ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries
- Implementing payroll best practices
- Preparing reports for senior management
- Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of payroll information
- Providing training and support to payroll staff
- Collaborating with HR and Accounting teams
**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Payroll team leader should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll software and systems
- Proven track record in similar role
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and managerial abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- A meticulous attention to detail
- The ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
