**_Role_**
Forbes Solicitors are looking for a Trainee Facilities/Maintenance Operative to join the Facilities Team at our Blackburn Office, with further travel to our other office locations across Lancashire, Manchester and Leeds. This is a full-time role, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Salary banding will be between £19,641.70 and £21,000.

The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:

- Assist the Facilities Department to ensure the Firm is compliant with health and safety requirements and maintenance of its buildings, working environments and assets.
- Supporting the inspection, maintenance, and refurbishment work across the Firm’s offices and working environments, both as a result of planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Travel to locations as required across the North-West, to undertake and complete required facilities and health and safety related work.
- Pro-actively assist with facilities projects such as office moves, workspace improvement and estate planning etc.
- Completion of PAT testing across the Firm in both offices and home-working environments, with the completion of required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist Facilities Team colleagues with Stores related activities such as collection of confidential waste, file archiving, file destroying, moving of files to Deveron Mill etc.
- Willingness to undertake such other duties commensurate with your position and hours as may reasonably be expected.

- Previous experience of working within a Facilities/Maintenance function, is desirable;
- Experience or interest in DIY and other improvement projects;
- Ideally have experience in PAT testing, however, full training will be given;
- Have an understanding of the importance of H&S at work;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with our people, clients and contacts from all levels of the business in a confidential and professional manner;
- Highly organised, with good attention to detail;
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft Office, word, excel;
