Experience of setting up creative and appealing events and activities and engaging widely in the community. Knowledge of effective communication techniques and approaches suitable for different audiences including underrepresented communities An understanding of the challenges facing the population of Suffolk. An understanding of local and national policy which impacts on communities, particularly those who are most vulnerable or most severely affected. Understanding of BAME communities and the issues that face them Confident in working on the ground in the community.

The ability to travel freely for work purposes. A willingness to work outside of usual office hours when required. Commitment and enthusiasm. Positive approach to team working, but also able to work on own initiative.

This role requires you to be a highly competent and dedicated individual who demonstrates both compassion and empathy to the groups we engage it is desirable to have an understanding/awareness of mental ill health (e.g. support worker), or a relevant qualification (level 3 Health & Social Care). More specifically, successful applicants will need to possess and demonstrate a high level of skill in the following areas: Ability to demonstrate resilience when working with communitys that are experiencing varying levels of emotional distress. Able to adapt to change.

A positive and solution-focused attitude. Good administration and IT skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills relating to the number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out each week. Capacity to work under pressure.

High level of enthusiasm and self-motivation. Ability to work and problem solve independently. Access to a car, or alternative ability to travel independently. Ability to work at any location across Suffolk.
