Treasury Assistant

Job Title: Treasury Assistant Reports To: Treasury Accountant
Objectives of the job:
Working closely with the Treasury Accountant and the rest of the finance and transactional teams, the jobholder will be responsible for processing and reconciling cash book transactions, arranging payments on the company’s behalf and allocating receipts tocustomers. They will also assist the Treasury Accountant with his work and deputise when he is absent.
Main Duties:
Cash book - allocation of receipts from customers to the correct bank accounts and ledgers, assisting with queries on accounts.
Payments / Direct Debits
- arrangement of payments and receipts to be transferred by Direct Debit. Also processing of ad hoc payment requests, including posting to General Ledger..
Reconciliations - regular reconciliation of company’s bank accounts to the nominal ledger, identifying and dealing with all reconciling items.
General tasks - reconciliations of treasury positions, nominal accounts
Any other ad-hoc projects/tasks as required by business.

The post-holder will have reliability, honesty and extensive attention to detail.
Understanding of Financial Accounts and Reporting
The post-holder will engage with other groups within LWC -including finance, operational, sales, buying and other support centre functions.
Strong Excel knowledge required
