Based in Kingswinford, West Midlands, Arford Steel Profiles Ltd is a long-established business which manufactures steel profiles and components for use in various industries. We are now looking to expand our office team as part of our continuing growth plans.

**Company Outline**

Established 30 years ago, Arford Steel Profiles Ltd manufactures and delivers profiles and components to customers in various markets, all over the UK, with projects ranging from a few hundred pounds to hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Turnover is consistently £2.5m+ and the company is profitable, despite carrying out little or no marketing. All work currently comes from word-of-mouth and referrals.

The company has recently taken on board new investors who are working with the management team to help deliver our expansion plans.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Sales & Production Manager, the CAD Operator will be responsible for the production of working drawings for both manufacturing and estimating.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Production of working drawings for manufacture using Procut CAD software.
- Production of nested quotations for the sales team using Procut nesting software.
- Checking stock levels are adequate to complete production orders or placing orders with suppliers if required.
- Investigating and rectifying any issues with manufacturing drawings.
- Liaising with customers regarding queries with drawings.
- Maintaining a drawing register/inventory in line with the company’s QA procedures.

A proven track record in a similar or support role, attention to detail, a strong client service ethic, excellent computer skills and self-motivation are all essential qualities required for this role.

**Essential**:

- Experience using Procut CAD and nesting software.
- Excellent IT skills particularly in MS Office products.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities at once.
- Organised and detail orientated.

**Desirable**:

- Awareness of quality control procedures and CE marking requirements.
- Health, Safety & Environmental awareness.

This is a full time, permanent position which offers a salary of up to £30,000.00 per year, depending on skills and experience.
