About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Premier Engineering. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and efficient designs for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Contribute to the final assembly of products and ensure that all designs meet quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including technical drawings and project reports.
  • Update 3D models and drawings as required.
  • Input parts into the MRP system and create Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Verify drawings for sign-off and ensure that all designs meet company standards.
Requirements
  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with sheet metal working.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
