This new full time posts available immediately on a permanent basis.

This role will be working for the Faculty Infrastructure lead as part of the Strategic Space team in Estates Services. The majority of the time will be spent within your allocated faculty working to support use of and improvements to faculty space.

This role offers the opportunity for some hybrid working - it is a role which requires a level of direct interaction with our buildings and teams so it is expected that a significant amount of time will be required on campus each week (probably 80% of your time although start and finish times can be reviewed). This is required to fulfil the duties of the role effectively, gain a detailed understanding of the faculty space and build relationships with the teams who work within them. When report writing and desk based tasks are required, this can be carried out off campus if appropriate and prefered.

Flexible working can be considered but it must be noted that the workload is high over the summer months so we cannot offer term time only contracts.

The role of infrastructure officer is a varied and involves supporting the work of our incredible academics and students by providing a highly professional and responsive service to meet changing needs for spaces. Ensuring we operate our spaces as sustainably as possible is also critical and you will be activley contributing to our ambitions to achieve net zero carbon by 2030.

You will work as part of a team on the delivery of space and infrastructure related activities and projects to support the work of our University Faculties set within our award winning campuses. This is a critical role as delivering research and teaching requires high quality facilities and services so you will need to think operationally, analytically, and creatively to help maintain and improve workplace and teaching environments.

You will be integral to the management of facilities and their planning and maintenance. You will lead on allocated tasks and be required to build strong working relationships with the academics, students and professional services teams. Delivering clear and effective communications will be a key part of the role.
