Yard Supervisor

**The Role**

A permanent position has arisen for a full time Yard Supervisor in our **Eastbourne** Branch. This position is responsible for the supervision of colleagues and their activities within the yard/site.

**Duties**
- Motivating and supervising yard employees and drivers to ensure that the branch can meet targets.
- Working with key colleagues to enable the company to supply and deliver products in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintaining adequate stock levels and resolve supply/delivery issues as they arise.
- Exceeding customers expectations in terms of the efficiency and standard of service provided to ensure customers become repeat customers.
- Ensuring that branch operations are carried out in line with company procedures and policies.
- Ensuring that the Health and Safety policy is actively pursued throughout your area of operation.

**The Requirements**
- Minimum GCSEs grade C or above in Maths & English or equivalent (essential)
- Supervisor training or equivalent Supervisor experience for 2 years would be required.
- Builders merchants experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent and up-to-date product knowledge.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Ability to offer effective training/guidance/advice to yard employees.
- Relevant Stock take PI accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Strong team player who works as part of a team and independently
- Forklift truck license preferable although training can be provided.

**The Hours**

The successful incumbent will be contracted for 45 hours per week, working the following working patterns:
Monday to Friday: 07:00am-17:00pm

Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 12:00
