Yard Assistant

The largest independent fabricator in the South East for UPVC windows, doors, and conservatories. Whiteline has recently invested over £3 million in new machinery to meet the growing demand for our products as well as ensuring that our manufacturing process is of the highest standard. Driven by the excellent quality of our products as well as by the high standard of service we offer our customers, we have experienced significant growth over the last year. In order to meet that growth, we will be investing further in equipment and in addition, we need new members to join our dedicated production teams.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Stillage Stock locations.**:

- Goods in checks upon delivery.
- Breaking down the delivery to stock locations.
- Locating profile for the factory.
- Replenishing the Factory stillages & ensuring the production does not run out.
- Shunting 6m length profiles to stock locations.
- Forklift inspection checks before use.
- Reporting Forklift defects to Yard Supervisor.
- **Stock Control.**:

- Counting of Stock for Ordering/Stock Take purposes**.**:

- Be aware of stock levels both low and high and act accordingly.
- Report any serious Stock issues.
- Stock rotation from location to location.
- **Goods In.**:

- Checking goods are not damaged before signing delivery note.
- Checking product against Delivery Notes.
- Reporting Shortages.
- Ensuring Goods In areas & Yard are clear and tidy.
- **Rejects.**:

- Reporting rejects to Yard Supervisor.
- Getting rejects returned to Supplier for credit.
- **All other Tasks.**:

- Covering Staff Absences.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.

**Requirement Skills**:
High level of organisation skills.

Ability to prioritise workload

Forklift driving experience - refresher training will be given to ensure capability

**Desirable Skills**:
Profile and Profile codes knowledge

Forklift experience

Full-time - Monday to Friday 08.00am - 4.00pm
