Croft Hall Medical Practice, providing care for approximately 8,200 patients with a practice area that extends across the whole of Torquay and parts of Paignton. Main responsibilities consist of answering the telephone, front desk duties, booking appointments, issuing repeat prescriptions and general administration duties.

The duties and responsibilities listed here and to be undertaken by the reception team may vary from time to time and under direction of the Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving changes, workload and staff levels:

- Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and other visitors to the practice
- Answer incoming telephone calls from patients and other healthcare professionals and dealing with their queries or signposting as appropriate, liaising with clinicians if necessary
- Booking, cancelling or amending appointments via the clinical system
- Processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
- Support and assist clinicians as required
- Typing, filing and retrieving paperwork, photocopying and scanning
- Data entry, processing and recording information accurately
- Communicate test results where appropriate, ensuring accuracy
- Daily preparation of clinician rooms at the beginning and end of each day

Opening / closing of surgery premises and maintaining security in accordance with protocols

We are looking to recruit two new team members to cover various shifts across the week.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
