Key Results Areas Promoting Gifts in Wills and In-Memory Giving - In consultation with the Donations and Philanthropy Manager deliver our strategy for Gifts in Wills and In Memory Giving, reporting back on agreed targets and plans to inform progress. - Lead our programme of promotion of Gifts in Wills, ensuring that this important area of giving is highlighted at every opportunity and funded projects are communicated. - Work sensitively with potential supporters to give them the information they need and to steward and thank them for their support - Engage key staff around the trust with legacy giving, maximising the number of staff ambassadors who are aware of key information and how to best progress enquiries. - Work with key staff around the Trust to agree sensitive and appropriate messaging and tone in areas of the hospitals.
- Through promotional vehicles such as Make a Will Month increase the number of gift in will enquiries and pledges, and increase the visibility of supporting in this way. - Create or support wider donor cultivation events for stewarding donors and encouraging further support. - Identify case studies of supporters through Gifts in Wills and In Memory giving, in order to help demonstrate the reasons why people support and the impact this makes. - Work with colleagues to achieve appropriate promotion and coverage of Gifts in Wills and In memory giving on-site, around the hospitals, online, via social media, in the community and on the radio.
- Work with the Donations and Philanthropy Manager and Head of Fundraising to agree recognition vehicles to thank and encourage legacy and in memory giving, planning in detail the resource, processes and cost needed to deliver them and potential income. - Build relationships with key stakeholders in the community, to build awareness of the charity and how support helps, including Funeral Directors and Solicitors, communicating regularly and updating on the impact made. - Encourage creation of online tribute pages and our Much loved platform as methods of giving support. - Work closely with the Donations and Philanthropy Manager, Head of Fundraising and colleagues across the team to encourage promotion of gifts in wills and in memory across activities, and to work together where needed to encourage support.
- Analyse results of activities and keep in touch with wider charity trends to inform planning. - Build a network of contacts in similar roles in other NHS charities, informing best practice and collaborating to create success. - Ensure stewardship and cultivation opportunities are maximised through use of the charity CRM system, with processes in place to personalise the donor experience and supporters encouraged to join our communication channels. - Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission.
- Ensure that all cash handling, banking, donor acknowledgement and receipts issued via the charity team are in accordance with current procedures Marketing and Communications - To work closely with the Donations and Philanthropy Manager and Marketing and Communications Officer to design innovative and engaging campaigns, using digital channels, case studies and press releases. - To work closely with the Donations and Philanthropy Manager, Marketing and Communications Officer and external designers, to create content which motivates supporters and staff and explains clearly the information they need to know. - Raise the profile of the charity and act as an ambassador at all times with both internal and external stakeholders - To work with Fundraising and Communications colleagues to ensure that all communications and relationships are well managed. - To ensure that the hospitals, patients and staff, together with its values and ethos are represented in all activities and not compromised through fundraising activity.
- To work productively with other departments and colleagues within the hospitals to ensure that fundraising activities are supported and representative of the organisation. - Act as the fundraising point of contact when needed with patients &/or relatives in the hospital Other - Respect and promote diversity and inclusion in all its forms, speaking out and not tolerating racism, discrimination, bullying or violence - To contribute to the Fundraising team development, attending meetings, training and briefings as may be required. - To undertake such other duties as may be required by the Head of Income Generation or Donations and Philanthropy Manager. - Perform all duties with mínimal supervision and using initiative - Contribute to the general development and success of the Fundraising function - Ensure complete confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
