**Those currently eligible on the redeployment register will be given prior consideration.**

The main purpose of the role is to receive, record and assess digital requests for policing services and provide resolution where appropriate, meeting organisational and national service level requirements.

**Main Responsibilities**:
To receive and record, as appropriate, requests for service and maintain accurate contact / incident records on Force systems.
To make an initial assessment of the threat, risk, harm and vulnerability (THRIVE) of service requests received via digital platforms, to grade in accordance with force guidelines / national standards utilising intelligence and information and find a suitable resolution route at the first point of contact in order to support force crime management objectives.
To assess information in order to identify vulnerability and risk within reports from the public and/or partners to determine requirement for officers to be deployed.
To call victims and informants to obtain further details, where required.
To ensure Customer Service Standards are applied to the victims of crime in accordance with Victims Charter.
To complete crime reports on ATHENA in full where there are no further lines of enquiry or partial completion when further investigation is required
To provide support including taking telephone calls and liaising with other departments/teams.
Maintain accurate records of relevant information using appropriate systems to ensure an audit trail and to measure and improve performance.
To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required

**Knowledge**:
5 A-C grade GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English Language.

Level 3 or equivalent Customer Services qualification

**Experience**:
Have experience of dealing with a range of service requests
Demonstrate flexibility to work as part of a wider team
Have experience of working in a pressured environment, prioritising a high and varied workload
Have experience of dealing with difficult conversations and challenging situations
Working as part of a team in a contact centre environment

**Key Skills**:
Good data input skills and interrogation
Competent in the use of IT, including Microsoft packages
Proven customer service skills
Proven ability to communicate both orally and in written form with a wide range of people
Proven ability to gather and collate information using questioning techniques and create and maintain accurate record.

**Special Conditions**

Shift working including unsociable hours, weekends and public holidays.
The duties of this role may involve exposure to disturbing / unpleasant images or tasks
The post holder will be required to wear the uniform provided
