**Requisition ID**: 56917**Domain**: Trades & Maintenance/General Maintenance**Contract type**: Permanent**Schedule**: Full-Time**Equans is looking for a Water Hygiene Maintainer to join our team in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.**

As a Water Hygiene Maintainer you will carry out planned preventative maintenance and minor repairs reactive repairs, temperature monitoring, flushing of water systems. To assist Maintenance Craftsperson’s and Technicians as/when required.

**What will you deliver?**
- To support the Estates management in providing a 24-hour maintenance service within the hospital
- To assist in the laid down audit survey and testing regime throughout all buildings on site
- Undergo specialist training to meet the needs of the service
- Carry out numerous PPM & reactive tasks involving water systems & equipment
- To maintain work documents and records accurately
- Complete National Pool Operators course
- Work in areas occupied by patients and staff, having regard for the Health & Safety of occupants within that area
- Cleaning, labouring, and driving tasks associated with Estates maintenance as instructed
- To assist craftsperson/s with 2-person man tasks
- Carry out duties independently without routine supervision
- To carry a radio or pager to facilitate immediate response
- Work as part of a multi-skilled team providing an efficient estates service
- May be incorporated into the shift system

**Who are we looking for?**
- NVQ or equivalent experience
- Basic IT Skills
- Previous work within in a healthcare environment (desirable)
- Basic knowledge of mutliple trades (desirable)
- A willingness to learn and undertake courses to further develop skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- A flexible and adaptable approach
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills

**This role includes a standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.**
