We are recruiting a minimum of 3 full-time or 6 part-time **Community Care Workers **to provide care and support to people living in **Palmersville and surrounding areas** (NE12)**.**

If you are the kind of person that can make people smile while visiting them in their home, then a **Community Care Worker** with Be Caring could be the right fit for you. You do not need a degree or care qualifications to be a **Community Care Worker,** but you will need the right values. Each day is varied, and you will need to have a can-do attitude.

**Pay: £11.50 p/hr (drivers) & £10.50 p/hr (walkers)**
- Mileage - 40p per mile for drivers / 15p per mile for cyclists
- Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £250 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.

As a **Community Care Worker **for **Be Caring**, your working hours will be aligned to our shift patterns, which for this role include late shift working and alternate weekends.
- Early shifts: 7:00am-3:00pm
- Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times)

As a **Community Care Worker **for **Be Caring**, we will agree your working pattern, setting 2-week rota which includes:

- Alternate full weekends.
- Evenings as agreed within your working hours.

You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent **Community Care Worker **for **Be Caring**, patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.

As a **Community Care Worker **working within **Palmersville and surrounding areas**, you will:

- Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
- Promote independence using enabling approaches.
- Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
- Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
- Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
- Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.

**Induction Training**

We are looking for people with **Be Caring** values to join our team. For this role you do not need care experience, we recognise you will have many transferable skills from previous roles, for example as a shop assistant. We will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding

**Community Care Worker.**

**As a **Community Care Worker **for **Be Caring**, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on**:

- Be Caring values, going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes.
- Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity
- Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication.
- Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
- Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
- Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
