We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Associate Director of HR, OD and Communications to join our Senior Management Team (SMT). In this pivotal role, you will lead Human Resources Management, Change Management, Organisational Development (OD), Workforce Development, and Communications. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will ensure that our service meet objectives, targets, performance measures and statutory obligations.

- Act as the principal advisor to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and support the Board under the direction of the Director of Change and Governance.
- Establish robust governance and accountability processes, providing assurance to the Board and its committees.
- Ensure that appropriate, contemporary HR management systems, policies and processes align with organisational goals.
- Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring policies and processes are effective.
- Manage 3rd party contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Direct and manage the performance of GMS HR and Communications resources/functions services provided under SLA’s.
- Provide strategic advice on operational delivery, performance targets and national standards for HR and Communications.
- Support the Director of Change and Governance in achieving GMS’s strategic operational ambitions outlined in the business plan.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in HR and Communication services.

The GMS ambition is to become the regional provider of choice for delivering managed services within the local health economy, supporting the healthcare provision and to deliver excellent customer care.

You will be the principal advisor to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will be required to provide support to the Board under the direction of the Director of Change and Governance. Ensure that good governance and accountability processes are in place and working effectively to provide assurance to the Board and its committees.

Ensure that appropriate, contemporary HR management systems, policies, and processes are in place and working effectively, along with communications processes and policies for internal and external communications. This will include the management of third-party contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

You will be responsible for the direction and performance of GMS HR and Communications resources/functions and HR and Communications services provided under SLAs, ensuring the development and implementation of organisational objectives, policies, and procedures.

Advise the SLT, Director of Change and Governance, Managing Director and Board on the operational delivery of defined services, maintenance of national and local performance targets, and national standards for HR and Communications.

Support the Director of Change and Governance in ensuring GMS delivers its strategic and operational ambitions as outlined in the business plan.

Delivery of modern comprehensive Human Resources and Communication service including innovative ways of improving it.
