Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our schools team. As part of a supportive team, you will work across multiple schools, conducting assessments, planning therapy sessions, and collaborating with colleagues with the support your teams therapy assistants to deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate treatment plans.
- Plan and implement therapy sessions tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic support for students.
- Provide guidance and support to therapy assistants in implementing therapy plans effectively.
- Actively participate in the development and improvement of therapy services within the school network.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions, making adjustments as necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech and language therapy to enhance service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and procedures to maintain high standards of care.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., HCPC).
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse team and with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a caseload across multiple schools.
- Ability to collaborate and contribute ideas to develop and improve therapy services.
- Enthusiasm for exploring clinical areas of interest and participating in professional development opportunities.
