User Support Specialist

Our client is recruiting into the CONNECT Business Support Team which will be based out of Newlands Park and provide 24/7 support to all CONNECT users.

**Purpose**

CONNECT is a new operational policing system. It will replace eight of legacy systems, CRIS, Crimint, COPA, NSPIS, EPMS, EWMS, MERLIN and Airspace.

CONNECT users, anticipated demand is over 7,000 Calls per week based on other police force’s experiences, reducing to 4,000 after 6 weeks.

The CONNECT Business Support Team will service the 50,000 the police force’s CONNECT users in this period to help staff get it right.

CONNECT will provide the police force with a better way to manage its information. It will reduce the need to re key into separate systems and give the organisation the tools to link data together. All this will require the end user to take greater responsibilityto ensure the information they put into the system is accurate, as colleagues across the organisation will all be using the same data, from arrest to disposal.

In time, CONNECT will save time, reduce duplication and unlock more of the potential the organisation will have in its data, allowing it to keep achieving the best outcomes in the pursuit of justice and in support of victims.

The role of the CONNECT User Support Specialist will be to deliver 24/7 support to all MPS staff and external stakeholders. The role will require:

- CONNECT information security risk identification and immediate response.
- Ensure that all 50,000 users follow correct CONNECT and POLE software platform procedures, policies and documentation requirements.
- Provide guidance to all users on business processes, interim business processes, and archived data.
- Assist users resolve CONNECT linked data issues
- Provide software and system guidance to MPS specialist teams

The team will consist of 9 managers, 40 agents made up of serving officers, police staff and retired police officers, the position will last for a minimum of 12 months.

Full training will be provided for the role, but in order to be eligible for the role you will need to have had previous experience of using police systems operated by the Metropolitan Police Service.

This role pays £22.00 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay accrued at 12.07% or £28.22 per hour Umbrella.
