**What will you be doing?**

The Risk Modelling Specialist will be reporting to the Water Critical Assets Lead within Asset Strategy & Planning. This is a high-profile role dealing with the significant issues facing the Thames Water business in relation to network planning.

You will also support the wider other teams across the business in engagement with project delivery teams and provide validation against the models that proposed schemes mitigate risk accordingly, and bridge Asset Health, Asset Strategy, and the wider planning community.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Analysing, collating, and interpreting data from a variety of sources across the Thames, from which you will be required to support the identification of needs and solutions to maintain asset health.
- Developing and maintaining a consistent and an auditable set of data from Risk Models, to underpin strategic risk management, resilience and capital maintenance decision making.
- Undertaking the analysis and modelling of the risk under critical investment scenarios, to support the understanding of, and confidence in, future risk to network assets.
- Developing and maintaining a series of Asset Performance Indicators, aligned with Business Plan, to enable tracking of investment benefits driven by capital maintenance programmes.
- Supporting operational expenditure cost analysis of distribution mains and DMA performance to facilitate development of unit rate cost models and comparative assessment of assets.
- Liaison with a wide range of key stakeholders across the business.
- Identify data sets needed to inform asset health and debt related to critical assets
- Work with others to identify key risks
- Develop long term critical asset health recovery plans balancing risk / cost / performance
- Support the creation and maintenance of capital maintenance and enhancement programmes, working with the asset investment team

**We’re looking for you to**
- Degree level or equivalent appropriate professional body qualification
- Experienced user of ArcGIS and other ESRI packages
- Understanding of asset planning & long-term investment scenarios
- Experience with Advanced Microsoft Office, such as Excel, Access
- Best practice Asset Management e.g., IAM qualifications / prior experience
