Undertake a range of management and care tasks. Demonstrating leadership skills in an encouraging and supporting role. Providing “on the job” coaching as necessary, overseeing, and monitoring working practices. Working alongside other professionals, utilising sound practice and knowledge. Monitoring and evaluating services and meeting Service user requirements, ensuring policies, procedures and guidelines are implemented and maintained. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships in respect of service users, carers and colleagues by participating in open and sensitive dialogue.
The role involves working as a team and lone working, Mandatory training will be given
- working 36 hours per week on a Permanent, full
- time basis with a salary of £31,179.34 to £38,950.71. (annual increments 1st 5 years) plus enhancements for unsocial hours and sleepovers
- Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
- With 32 annual leave days rising to 37 days after 5 years.

**The Person**
Providing “on the job” coaching as necessary, overseeing, and monitoring working practices. Working alongside other professionals, utilising sound practice and knowledge. Monitoring and evaluating services and meeting Service user requirements, ensuring policies, procedures and guidelines are implemented and maintained.
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships in respect of service users, carers and colleagues by participating in open and sensitive dialogue.
You must also gain a supervisory or management qualification suitable for the supervisor of a care service.
You must have the ability to monitor and prioritise your workload and have good knowledge of how to take an outcomes focussed approach.
Successful applicants with be provided with all necessary training such as Moving and Handling, C.A.L.M and Mandatory training as per organisations requirements. etc. You must be able to undertake All Moving & handling training, Physical Intervention training and must be of good physical health.
The role of the Senior Social Care Worker can be physically and emotionally demanding
**Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme**
**You will save money on your SSSC fees as these will now be paid for all roles and grades by the Scottish Government**
