We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic self-starter to join the Corporate Assurance team (which encompasses Governance, Risk & Compliance) in the role of Corporate Assurance Officer. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and have ambition to succeed in this varied, interesting and important role.

Working at the heart of the organisation you will support the Corporate Assurance Manager in providing a high-quality service to the Directors and Board level Committees to ensure that the arrangements and logistics for all meetings are robust and that all meeting papers are of a high quality, consistent and clear.

A key element of the role is supporting the implementation of effective risk management policies and procedures at strategic, corporate and operational levels throughout the Trust. You will support the management of risk centrally as well as supporting the corporate directorates and operational Care Groups. Working collaboratively, you will contribute to the maintenance the Board Assurance Framework and the Trust Risk Register to ensure that the Board remains well informed about current and emerging strategic and operational risks.

You will have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across a range of Trust colleagues, including senior managers, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a strong team player. You should have excellent time management and attention to detail along with proven experience of working under pressure and to very tight deadlines.
