We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant, working in community-based GP Surgeries and Health Centres. As our Healthcare Assistant, you will be providing the best patient care while assisting our Sonographers as they carry out ultrasound scanning procedures to our NHS patients.

You should have a genuine compassion and care for people and are keen to develop your skills, previous experience in care is desirable however not essential as full support and training will be offered.

You will need to have a driving licence and access to a car to be able to transport the portable ultrasound equipment from practice to practice. To ensure the ultrasound equipment is at the right location for the next clinic, you will be able to claim non-taxable business mileage, paid at our standard rate.

As our Healthcare Assistant, you will be required to be available to work **5 days; typically 08:15 to 17:30 any day Monday to Sunday**
- **The salary range for this role is £9.50 for the first 3 months, increasing to £10 per hour after 3 month probation period. **_

**Your main duties and responsibilities will be**:

- To be responsible for transporting the portable ultrasound scanner and equipment from practice to practice as required ready for the start of the clinical session. **A car is essential for this role.**
- To carry out patient care duties and to assist Sonographers and act as a Chaperone during the clinics, including use of IT equipment
- Providing aftercare for patients following scanning procedures
- To assist the sonographer in cleaning requirements as required
- Ensure that clinic rooms are clean and put back to how the room was at the start of the clinic
- To adhere to company policy and procedures in terms of health and safety, data protection and confidentiality.
- To maintain an inventory of clinical disposables and replenish as required in conjunction with Clinic Manager

**To be considered to this role, you should be able to demonstrate you have the following qualifications/experience**:

- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Friendly outgoing professional personality
- Ability to work as part of a small, focused team
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to plan and prioritise work.
- Good IT skills
- Eligibility to reside and work in the UK
