At the University of St Andrews shop, we take pride in ensuring that our customers have an exceptional shopping experience. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent sales service to our customers, meeting sales targets, and maintaining a tidy sales floor. Additionally, you will be expected to develop a good understanding of our products and identify features relevant to the customer experience.

Other key responsibilities include ensuring that the products are presented attractively, supporting the management team to drive store sales and profitability, maintaining stock levels and stock rotation, and assisting in opening and closing procedures. You will also be required to handle cash, including reconciliation and recording, and pick and pack online sales orders.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs. You should also have excellent organisational skills to keep track of inventory and maintain a tidy sales floor. Time management skills are also crucial to prioritise your tasks effectively, and you should be able to sell products effectively and meet sales targets.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

Pay: £10.90 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)

- St. Andrews (required)
