**Responsible to**: Deputy CEO,

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00 - 5.00.

(some additional hours may be required from time to time).

**Salary**: £10.90ph

**About Us**

Falcon Support Services are a charity providing supported accommodation and community projects to those that are homeless, at risk of homelessness or vulnerable across Leicestershire.

This exciting role is new, and we are looking appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, energetic and proactive individual who can demonstrate a real passion for fundraising and who can make a tangible contribution to increasing the charity’s funding position.

**Role Purpose**

Communications is a key component of this role as the successful applicant will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of the charities’ Communications Strategy including its social media profile, publications and the production of its promotional materials.

**Main Responsibilities**

**Fundraising**
- To assist the Fundraising manager to develop and deliver the charities Fundraising Strategy
- Identify and seek out available grants.
- Raise funds for our cause and regularly meet fundraising targets.
- Plan and lead agreed innovative Community fundraising events and activities.
- Prepare materials for charitable events, such as fundraising envelopes/bid sheets/gift bags.
- Research and identify potential donors/corporate sponsorship to feed into the prospect pipeline.
- Develop and maintain a database of supporter, donors and potential funders.
- To forge long-term mutually beneficial relationships with corporate supporters and raise funds towards the ongoing work of the charity.
- Develop a stewardship journey for corporate and individual donors supporting the charity ensuring the smooth-running of communications and follow-ups with donors.
- Monitor progress and impact of fundraising drives.
- To support Managers with project evaluation and the completion of end of project reports.
- Contribute to the Fundraising Sub-Committee.
- Contribute to Fundraising reports for SMT and Board of Trustees.

**Communications**
- To contribute to the development and deliver the charities Communications Strategy.
- Represent the charity in a variety of settings including presentations and talks, networking groups, exhibitions and events to inform potential supporters about the charity’s vision, mission and work.
- To update the Falcon Support Services website and social media sites, preparing relevant content for publication in line with strategy and current campaigns.
- Maintaining a database photos, case studies and research/evidence to promote our work.
- Responding to enquiries through Falcon Support Services digital sites.
- Writes and distributes press releases to print, radio and television and respond to media enquiries.
- To send quarterly update newsletters to all external stakeholders.
- To contribute to a quarterly internal company newsletter.
- Assist in the internal communications throughout the charity, including disseminating the charities objectives, minute taking, organising full team meetings, away days, conferences.

**General**
- Contribute to excellent team spirit and co-operative working across all teams, internal and external.
- To undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post.
- To undertake/attend any training and/or meetings as required by the job role.
- To promote a positive image of the Falcon Support Services and the service, working as part of an integrated team.
- Ensure all aspects of the Group Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety policies are followed effectively.

- Due to the nature of work, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will therefore require you to disclose all criminal convictions and comply with a Criminal Records Bureau check.

**Knowledge, Experience & Skills**:

- Experience of professional fundraising, or similar experience in a marketing, sales or business development environment.
- Track record of setting and achieving fundraising income targets essential.
