**Job Summary**:
Are you a proactive, highly organised and collaborative individual, with a proven record in human resources at an advisory or officer level? Do you have experience in people policy development and implementation work?

If so, join St Giles as a People Officer, where you will provide a high-level service to managers on employee relations and be responsible for reviewing and rewriting existing and new policies. In addition you will also provide accurate and timely advice on all areas of employment law and organizational policies and procedures.

**About this key role**

Providing support for tendering processes, undertaking TUPE transfers in and out of the organisation and ensuring compliance with GDPR in relation to verbal, written and computerised material handled in the HR department are all also key duties, as are reviewing all People Policies and implementing and managing a sustainable and effective Policy Review Programme. In addition you will also support the organisation with their safeguarding initiatives so a clear understanding of Safeguarding is a must.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience in HR at an advisory or officer level and people policy development and implementation work
- Experience of providing managers with clear, concise advice on all aspects of employee relations issues
- Experience of working with socially excluded young people and adults
- Must have demonstrable experience and knowledge of Safeguarding and Professional Boundaries and experience with risk assessments and DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service)
- A level 5 CIPD or working towards a higher level
- Excellent interpersonal, prioritisation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
