We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Melksham Team.

**About you**
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, mangers, directors, and team members
- Take an interest in our clients’ strategic and commercial, and personal objectives
- Work under pressure with attention to detail
- Manage a portfolio of clients; maintaining client focus which would include client meetings and regular communications
**Desired attributes**
- Bookkeeping experience on Cloud Accounting Software (Quickbooks, Xero)
- Ability to use own initiative and work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- Adaptable, keen and flexible approach
- Punctual and attentive - able to support a busy team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to prioritise a very busy workload and work effectively under pressure
- Professional telephone manner
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Bookkeeping - Allocate bank payments and receipts & carry out bank reconciliations
- Timely completion of VAT returns
- Preparing monthly CIS returns (if applicable)
- Check that transactions are accurate and error free
- Complete checklists for month end and year end, ensuring all relevant paperwork is attached
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and other members of the team
- Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and/or the management team
**Preferred Skill set**:
- Practice experience preferred
- Possess relevant NVQ/SVQ qualifications, or specialist qualifications such as AAT
- Appropriate knowledge of VAT
