Purpose
Responsible for sales and purchase ledger, maintaining financial records, preparing VAT returns, Overseeing the financial health of the company and preaparing financial reports for review by external accountant
Duties
- Knowledge of Sage 200 Accounts package is preferable_
- Purchase order processing, including reconciliations with supplier statements, and making payments within payment terms_
- Sales order processing including credit control_
- Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts_
- Managing company cash flow forecast and budget_
- Reviewing and confirming company ledger accounts and intercompany transactions and providing necessary reconciliations as required_
- Managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets_
- Maintaining company ledgers_
- Maintaining an annual company budget_
- Monitoring debt levels and ensuring compliance with debt covenants_
- Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits_
- Maintaining petty cash_
- Maintaining office supplies by keeping an inventory and ordering new supplies as needed_
- Providing ad hoc administrative and clerical support as required_
- Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management_
**Skills**:
- Proficient in using accounting software
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
