**Events Manager**

Our client is an established and well respected hospitality business based in the Ripon area. Currently recruiting an Events Manager to join their senior management team. The Events Manager will manage the wedding, banquet, corporate, shooting and groupelements of the sales office from the initial enquiry to the day of the event, in order to maximize sales opportunities and deliver consistently high levels of service.

**Event Manager - Responsibilities**:

- Coordination and management of all meetings and events.
- Ensure that correct terms are issued to clients, that deposits are received, and efficient billing is conducted in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure that the sales office systems are understood and followed, including chase systems, billing arrangements, pricing, setting out of proposals and client liaison.
- The Events Manager will prepare reports as directed in terms of occupancy against budget, enquiry levels, and any other relevant information required.
- Help develop the estates pricing and market mix strategy for conference and events sales.
- Ongoing research and analysis of products, priced from an agreed competitive set.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual conference and events marketing plan.
- To be able to build relationships with external customers and agents to win new business for the estate.
- To be able to build current event and wedding business, including but not exclusively to corporate away days, weddings and large team building events.
- To be confident in winning business and have a driven sales culture within the team.
- To have an understanding of revenue management.
- To have a proactive approach to pursuing new sales leads.
- Strong events experience in a similar role is essential
- An understanding of revenue management
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Good computer skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A responsible and meticulous approach to tasks
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Good spoken and written English

Event Manager is offering £25,000 - £30,000 basic salary plus great benefits. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
