**Job description**

Dalton Metal Recycling are looking at hiring a Transport and Weighbridge Administrator based at our Head Office in 15 Youngs Road, Industrial Estate, Broxburn, West Lothian.

**Duties include**:
**Transport**:

- Managing the fleet of Company LGV & HGV and everything related to the logístical and compliance of the vehicles and its operatives.
- Monitor transport productivity and its efficiency inclusive of fuel, repairs etc.

**Administration**:

- Operating FRED (industry bespoke) software in creating commercial customers accounts, producing weighbridge tickets, advice notes, self-bills and statements

**Weighbridge Cover**:

- Managing all vehicles entering and exiting the yard by weighing their load and input all data accurately on our weighbridge FRED software.
- Providing all appropriate paperwork and carry out the necessary admin work to complete the process.
- Liaising with customers, acting as first point of contact for a customer to resolve any issues/problems.
- Liaise with other colleagues within the yard and keep a steady flow of traffic moving

**MISC**
- Answering telephone calls and ensure customer service satisfaction
- Greeting visitors and handling office supplies
- Experience in logistics (preferably in transport dealing with HGV)
- They must be computer literate,
- Proficient with Microsoft Office package.
- Have good customer service skills.
- A good phone manner.
- A good learner, the willingness to be trained with new software.
- Ability to work within a team.

**Working Week -**
- Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£13.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
