**Spencer Clarke Group** are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Yorkshire to assist with the appointment of an**Estates Surveyor**on an interim contract.

We are keen to speak to experienced Estates Surveyors, with Significant experience of dealing with matters such as rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments, new lettings and other Landlord and Tenant matters. Ideally with experience working for a LocalAuthority previously.

**Contract Details**

**Pay Scale - Inside IR35** - Negotiable dependent on experience

**Location** - Hybrid working - Site / office visits required

**Contract Length** - Minimum 3-months. Highly likely to be extended to an ongoing basis

**Key Duties**
- Assisting with the management of the commercial property portfolio
- Assisting with the rationalisation of the existing portfolio with a view to maximising the quality and quantity of land and property returns.
- Supporting colleagues within the Estates team.
- Writing reports for Cabinet, Individual Cabinet Members, Committees and Project Boards.
- Undertaking site surveys, inspections and condition reports.
- Liaison with public utilities and other third party organisations.

**Experience Needed**
- Live locally or willing to travel to the office/surrounding area when required for inspections etc
- A Chartered Surveyor with at least 5 years post qualification experience. We will look at non-chartered if you have extensive experience beyond 5 years
- Local authority experience (highly desirable)
