**Salary up to £38k DOE - Pro Rata**
**Office based in Sheffield S9**
**25hr to 30hrs per week Monday to Friday - minimum of 25hrs per week**
**Flexible office based hours to suit - Office open from 7.30am to 5pm**
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Part Time HR Business Partner looking to work in a standalone HR role in an SME manufacturing business with approx. 60 employees.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of HR and will utilise your experience to support the management team and employees, including employee relations, recruitment and retention, training and development and performancemanagement.
You’ll be personable with a positive attitude and the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels from the warehouse floor through to senior management.
**Job Purpose**
To deliver an operational HR service which supports the Company’s overall aims and objectives.
To ensure all company policies, objectives and initiatives are implemented, monitored and continually improved.
To provide expert professional HR advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of people management, current employment legislation and best practice.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
**Employee Relations**
- Manage various HR queries throughout the business
- Provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases, ensuring that these are well managed and follow policy and procedure
- Keep up to date with employment law changes
- Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance issues
- Update and review HR policies, procedures and the Employee Handbook to meet the requirements of current legislation and to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of staff throughout the Company
- Communicate policies and procedures across the Company to ensure that staff are aware of them and are able to operate them effectively
- Provide support to staff on HR issues, as and when require
- Assist Managers to drive business performance through the company objectives
- Monitor sickness absence, advising managers when trigger points have been hit, assisting in meetings and supporting through to disciplinary if needed
- Managing the appraisal process, ensuring timely completion and identifying areas for learning and development
- Monitor and continually review the appraisal system to ensure it is fit for purpose
- Ensure that staff are informed and updated on key business and company issues
- Champion equality and diversity and help to contribute to the success and growth of the business
- Develop talent within the business through succession planning and retention of key roles
- Promote employee wellbeing
**Training & Development**
- In consultation with Line Managers, follow up on individual development needs and source external training provision as and when required, monitoring training costs against budget
- Complete an annual Training Needs Analysis following information collated on annual appraisals
- Update the training matrix annually
- Administer the evaluation of all learning and development activities
- Source funding streams for training and development opportunities
- Maintain accurate and up to date training records
- Deliver internal training sessions as and when required
**Recruitment & Retention**
- Manage, monitor and improve the recruitment process to ensure the right people in the right jobs at the right time
- Provide support to managers on the recruitment of all staff
- Issue employment contracts, right to work checks, references and new starter packs and arranging inductions
- Ensure an effective and appropriate induction process for all new staff, including a comprehensive induction schedule and support to Managers
- Deliver induction training to all new starters
- Oversee and administer the probation periods, ensuring that new staff and managers have the support they need throughout this process
- Conduct exit interviews with all staff, evaluating and actioning the responses accordingly to continually improve retention
- Manage reward to include review, advise and support employees on company benefits
- Carry out job evaluation processes
**Data & Reporting**
- Monitor and report on HR activities through the HRIS
- Manage and develop the HRIS and ensure information held is in line with the GDPR and legal requirements
- Act as the Data Protection Officer, ensuring all GDPR requirements and training are met across the Company
- Notify payroll of any required changes
- Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates
**General**
- Ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and targets are met
- Adhere at all times to all the Company’s polices and procedures, including Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Equality and Diversity.
- Any other duties which are commensurate with the post
- A flexible approach to work at all times and to work outside normal office hours when required
