**Production Planner**
**(Banbury, UK)**
**What is your main objective**:
To undertake factory planning management using Materials Requirements Planning (MRP). Undertake MRP Inventory control of manufactured product. Planning, managing and ordering raw materials and packaging to ensure timely delivery to meet the production plan.
**Representative Activities**
- Maintains running accounts of orders received, work completed and inventory
- Matches workload, manning and production capacity to existing inventory
- Plans and meets production requirements in accordance with forecasted demand levels for all finished and unfinished Stock Keeping Unit (SKUs)
- Controls finished goods and Work In Progress (WIP) inventory to meet planned demand in rotational moulding department
- Monitors availability of raw materials for planned manufacture, utilising system driven stock availability reports
- Reviews shortage reports and chases suppliers prior to delivery to ensure orders are on track as scheduled. Reflects any changes against POs by updating the POs on SAP. Works with Production administrator to achieve this activity
- Controls Work in Progress (WIP) inventory to agreed minimum stock levels, planning to a just in time manufacture of these items whenever possible
- Supports the resolution of GR/IR (goods receipt/invoice receipt) investigations and imbalances
- Works with procurement function teams as well as suppliers to call off inventory of materials in quantities required to convert to meet availability of stocked finished inventory as defined by the demand plan
- Advises and liaises between company departments, as required, to review, maintain and improve company processes and discipline
- Coordinates with other departments in daily/weekly/monthly production meetings to meet production demands. Communicates capacity issues with the relevant business functions, including contributing to the preparation of capacity constraint reports as prepared for the S&OP cycle
- Undertake inventory counting according to the business requirements against raw materials and WIP items, working to the relevant business processes and defined cycles per inventory types
- Interacts with shop floor colleagues daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies and production plan
- Prepares and submits status and performance reports for specific KPI’s
- Plans and manages the inventory of Raw materials and Packaging to ensure timely delivery to meet the production plan whilst maintaining accurate stock profile and adhering to cost, minimum load and space restrictions.
- Liaises with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials
- Monitors availability of raw materials for planned manufacture, utilising system driven stock availability reports
- Controls raw material inventory to agreed minimum stock levels, planning to a just in time manufacture of these items whenever possible
- Calls off 3rd Party traded goods, in accordance with the procurement manager direction against cost and MOQs.
