**Board Member appointments: NHS Golden Jubilee Board**:
NHS Golden Jubilee is looking for two new members to join its Board.

The NHS Golden Jubilee is unique within the NHS. A national institution, independently run by its own NHS Board, the NHS Golden Jubilee is helping to re-define the concept of the public hospital to “Deliver care through collaboration” for NHS Scotland. The NHS Golden Jubilee has a national and broadening portfolio including:

- Golden Jubilee National Hospital,
- NHS Scotland Academy,
- National Centre for Sustainable Delivery,
- Golden Jubilee Research Institute, and
- Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel.

As a non-executive member of this Board, you will have a key role in supporting the delivery of the organisation’s strategic direction in addition to contributing to scrutinising performance, and discharging governance and accountability functions. You will be offered the training you need to make a strong contribution.

**Remuneration and time commitment**: Remuneration is £9,030 per annum (non-pensionable) for a time commitment of one day per week. Reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed.

**Location**: Meetings for the NHS Golden Jubilee Board will normally be held in the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank, although they may on occasion be held elsewhere around Scotland. In recent times, meetings have been held virtually. Going forward, the expectation is that there will be a blend of virtual and physical meetings; with Board meetings and Development sessions generally being held in person and Committee meetings being held virtually.

**Interviews**:Interviews will be held on Tuesday 21 and Friday 24 November at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, located in Clydebank.

For these positions you must be able to demonstrate that you meet **at least one** of the following **priority criteria **which are of particular importance to the NHS Golden Jubilee at this time:

- Experience of planning, delivering or overseeing major capital projects.
- Experience of finance, audit and risk.

As well as the values and priority criteria highlighted above you will also need to be able to demonstrate the following:

- Ability to contribute effectively to the decision making of the Board

You do not need to be an expert in health or have previous experience of being on a Board. We are looking for people who have the capacity and commitment to develop their skills and to learn new skills they may require.
