**About The Role**:

Coventry Building Societies mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees and its customers. To support the delivery of its mission, The Coventry is searching for an experienced professional who will lead the activities of the Societies internal investigations, and represent the larger Financial Crime team, while also functioning as the Investigative Advisory Lead, supporting the wider business on misconduct incidents. The team perform a wide range of investigations into all allegations of serious misconduct, threats and criminal activity committed by members of staff, contractors and customers in order to ensure and safeguard the assets and protect the reputation of Coventry Building Society.**_Prevention, Detection and Investigation_**
- Within this role, you will also take responsibility for the day-to-day management of preventative controls for Internal Fraud & Economic Crime, Whistleblowing and Bribery & Corruption.**_Professional Advisory_**
Through the work you do, you will be able to identify internal attack vectors that are posing a financial crime risk to our business and optimise our fraud model to suit. In addition, you will be our eyes and ears when it comes to financial crime intelligence and will be able to digest this information to help with the wider fight against crime. Through effective Analytics, Root Cause Analysis and Industry Engagement, you will monitor the risk factors to the Society and react where required.-

Through your experience of leading investigations and delivering results, you will help to continuously enhance fraud expertise and knowledge in the field via on-going education and knowledge sharing. You will provide direct counsel to Financial Crime on effective ways to conduct an investigation, before bringing it to a legally defendable conclusion.**About You**:

- Ideally you will have law enforcement or significant Financial Services experience both within Intelligence and Investigation environments and bring experience of progressive Investigations, managing/mentoring investigators, conducting risk assessments, and/or managing complex threat cases.You will be a self-starter, with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, and have relentlessly high standards, with proven written and data analysis skills, and a history of taking ownership of issues or investigations, with a strong commitment to raise the bar of performance and achieve results.Naturally curious, you will a have key eye for detail and have developed analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to work on your own initiative. You will be inquisitive, methodical and highly organised in your approach, able to prioritise different requirements as required, and be able to present your conclusions both verbally and in writing to a high standard. You will have the natural ability to want to make decisions based on fact rather than presumption and be able to adapt your approach in the moment and have the courage to stand up and be heard in the right way when it’s needed. You will be confident and able to persuade and motivate others through collaboration, and at times, challenge the status - quo.You will have an instinctive passion and commitment to help grow our anti - fraud model and developing working relationships with colleagues will be a way of life for you.
