As a Client Manager, you are responsible for proactively planning, designing and implementing appropriate workforce solution to the client and building excellent client relationships. You will deploy the strategic vision and develop the workforce solution, managing strategic relationships with all stakeholders. You are responsible for the recruitment and continuing development of your teams to ensure that they drive high performance and deliver against all operational objectives, KPI's and SLAs.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high level client relationships with all levels of management across all business areas.
  • Develop high level partnership relationships with recruitment delivery teams, including CORE and/or external suppliers, maximising self-fill.
  • Manage the strategic relationship with all partners, including technology providers, internal departments and vendors
  • Responsible for engaging with key stakeholders to map out processes and demand and proactively design, plan and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Interface with key stakeholders and facilitate communication channels between hiring managers and the delivery teams.
  • Responsible for any team management including performance, development, training, career conversations, setting and reviewing team objectives, ensure effective knowledge sharing and skills transfer amongst the team
  • You will be responsible for developing an extremely motivated team-working environment by engendering team spirit. Leading the team setting examples in terms of effort, ability, company policy, ethics and behaviour standards
  • Responsible for resolving complex issues, considering longer term view and applying conceptual thinking. Effectively negotiate potential issues or areas of conflict, facilitating a 'win-win' situation.
  • Responsible for achieving and meeting SLA's and KPI's as agreed with client through effective management of team and issue resolution

Career Level Identifiers

Accountability - Accountable for meeting short- to medium-term targets which impact the department. Responsible for the performance management, resource management and general management such as pay reviews, with input into the budgeting process.

Interaction - Interprets and explains information to audiences who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion and is able to adapt their style to differing audiences, making recommendations to sell ideas or services.

Impact - The impact is generally limited to the achievement of short- to medium-term goals. You may be required to develop and translate strategic plans into operational plans and guide their execution. Contributes to the delivery of the departmental goals through personal effort or through influence over team members and focuses the team on achieving medium term goals.

Problem Solving - Resolves complex issues which may need conceptual thinking to understand the issues and their implications. Solutions may need to be devised based on limited information requiring a longer term view and considering multiple perspectives.  

Knowledge and Application - Previous management experience within the recruitment sector with extensive experience in a large or complex area that acquires depth of knowledge and expertise in more than one work area. Responsible for the application of existing principles and guides and the development of new policies and ideas.

Experience, Behaviours and Competencies

Required*

  • Proven experience of managing a team through effective coaching, people management and leadership
  • Detailed knowledge of the relevant workforce solutions that are provided to the client and a proven track record in delivering these
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders through various communication methods
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence key decision makers
  • Ability to create and drive effective and innovative sourcing channels with a pro-active approach to identify and attract key talent
  • Ability to understand, analyse, and interpret business requirements and information i.e. demand plans, attraction channels, market insights
  • Target driven and results focused
  • Experience of managing complex situations through to resolution
  • Must be able to liaise at a high level and be positive, decisive, driven and forward thinking
  • Understand the recruiting SLA's and KPIs and experience in driving a team to achieve.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to self-manage
