Special Education Drivers and Attendants

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

The role is to drive a range of designated vehicles to transport children from home to school in the morning and return in the afternoon with other responsibilities.

You will be working closely with individuals, their parents and carers, show patience and understanding and be able to communicate with people from all backgrounds.

To undertake any necessary courses or training appropriate to the grade and role.

Term time contract : work 38 weeks but pay will be equated over 52 weeks including 28 days holiday pay

15 - 20 hours per week

No commute - drivers keep the vehicle at home, cleaning allowance is also paid

Attendants are picked up and dropped off at home

Uniform is provided

Currently £10.50 per hour

Possible option of extra hours during school holidays

Full enhanced DBS/First Aid certificate needed these will be provided along with any relevant training

**Experience**:

- Driving: 1 year (preferred) due to licensing requirements
- Full manual driving licence required
- Road Transport Occupations: 1 year (preferred) but not essential
- Autism awareness but not essential as training will be given
