Carpenter/joiner

Due to continued and steady growth, Lewis Construction are currently seeking a Time Served Carpenter/Joiner who can carry out other multi skilled duties when required.
- 1st and 2nd Fix Carpentry
- To read and understand plans and drawings
- To help with various other trades if required
- To use initiative whilst carrying out your day to day tasks
- To measure and order materials
- To work in a safe and effective manner at all times
- To complete all work to a set timescale to keep up to date with deadlines
- To ensure the safety of oneself and others at all times by working within the Lewis Construction’s Health and Safety policy and procedures associated with repair works.
- To supervise and mentor Apprentices if required following appropriate training. This may include completing written progress reports for Managers.
- To use and maintain a company vehicle as required to fulfil daily work activities in line with the Lewis Construction’s driver policy.
- Carry out works to the requirements and obligations to the Health and Safety at work Act and all specific Health and Safety polices required by the Lewis Construction. Wear appropriate clothing, ID, uniform and PPE for specific tasks.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, in accordance with our code of conduct with respect to our residents and their homes whenever working in or outside of the property.
- Comply with and British Standards, manufacturers requirements, specifications, legislation, policy and procedure

**Essential Skills / Experience**:

- NVQ Level 1,2 or 3 in Carpentry/Joinery
- Excellent trade knowledge / workmanship
- Be positive in their approach to work
- Be always punctual
- An ability to work on own initiative
- Good communicator
- Must have excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety at Work.
- Must have a Full, Driving Licence (Penalties & convictions must be declared)
- CSCS Card Holder preferable

SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

- Carpentry: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- full driving licence. (required)

Work Location: In person
