Nursery Practitioner 1:1

We are a busy village nursery located in the heart of Long Buckby.

Hours: 8.30am-5.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting March 2024

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner one to one support for a child with additional needs

**Duties**:

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Assist with feeding and personal care routines
- Observe and monitor children's behavior and development
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other staff members and SENCO to provide targeted intervention for a child with additional needs
- supporting medical feeds (Gastrostomy)

**Skills**:

- Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
- previous experience with children with additional needs
- Nasogastric/gastrostomy feeding experience (training provided)

- Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

- Driving Licence (preferred)
