Small Domestic Appliances QA Technologist

Kasmir Associates are recruiting for a leading client who specialise in supplying homeware and small domestic appliances to the retail industry and the consumer market. Due to continued business growth, they are now seeking a QA Technologist with a background in Small Domestic Appliances (ideally). You will work in the Quality Department and report into the QA Director, and take responsibility for small electrical appliances including kettles, toasters, coffee makers, heaters, and coolers. Your role will involve:
- Quality assurance:
- Create and maintain technical files for product safety compliance.
- Assess products against safety regulations and industry standards.
- Track orders, inspections, and Gold Seals.
- Ensure up-to-date product specifications.
- Correspond with major retailers on selections and technical specifications.
- Research and advise on testing requirements for specified categories.
- Liaise with external testing labs for compliance.
- Communicate with international offices and factories.
- Create instruction manuals and rating labels.
- Check and sign off on artwork related to product claims.
- Collaborate with the Technical Manager.
- Work with Buyers to develop and support QA of products.
- Ensure factory details are known and logged.
- Liaise with Buying Teams and QA Director for factory audits.
- Support Customer Services in efficiently handling complaints.
- Dealing with the overflow of telephone calls as and when required
- Ideally 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong product knowledge in small domestic electrical appliances, including coffee makers, coolers, heaters, toasters, and kettles
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office skills, and ideally InDesign, paint, or illustrator to produce product instruction manuals
- Experience of assisting with producing product instruction manuals would be ideal

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
