Emotional Wellbeing Facilitator

To support the developing work of the new perinatal and infant mental health emotional wellbeing sessions within the integrated maternity service and 0-19 Early Help service within Family Hubs.
To give timely access for families to utilize support for their mental wellbeing.
To coordination Emotional wellbeing session via 1:1 or group work as agreed within the team and support the development and quality assurance of these.
To signpost/refer to multi agencies to meet the needs of the family and a joined-up approach.
Liaise and build connections with other primary and secondary mental health services to advance the improvement of PMH services within East Sussex.
To deliver Perinatal Mental Health Emotional wellbeing sessions in a compassionate and culturally sensitive way. In 1:1 or groups sessions with interventions and support, using agreed models/ frameworks and signposting/ referrals for families in the perinatal period and up to 28 days post birth.
To develop a perinatal and family centred mindset with the aim of supporting transition to parenthood, with a focus on sensitive and attuned caregiving, that leads to positive early relationships and family wellbeing.
To become skilled at delivering a range of interventions using different models/ frameworks. These may be delivered in Family Hubs or virtually, as needed.
To use agreed mental health assessment tools appropriately as part of assessments. Discuss and be guided by senior members of the team.
To ensure that compassion and empathy are a part of all interactions in line with the organisational trauma-informed approach.
To ensure that communication, referrals, and actions are transparent, acceptable, and agreed with families whenever possible.
To develop good working relationships with internal and external partners that contribute to the Family Hubs agenda, of seamlessly connecting families to the right information and support.
Actively participate in all supervision opportunities and seek out support when needed.
To operate in accordance with Trust child protection guidelines.
Keep accurate, contemporaneous records and written reports as required, based on a process approach.
