Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant - Permanent Job - Nottingham - Competitive Salary

My client is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with national coverage. They offer expertise in civil, structural, geo-environmental, geotechnical and acoustic engineering with growth on the horizon in other areas of environmental consultancy.
They are a simplified and humanistic business that is forward thinking and modern in their approach to work, they embrace creativity and new technologies opening new possibilities for their clients.
As a part of the next stage in their growth, they are looking to add an enthusiastic and motivated senior geo-environmental consultant to their current team.
**Your new role**
This position is based out of the Nottingham office functioning under a hybrid model with site visits nationwide.
My client works in the following sectors (but not limited to): residential, retail, education, leisure, healthcare.
Main responsibilities:

- the production of geo-environmental desk studies, analysis and interpretative reporting
- the design, management and supervision of ground investigations including accurate collection of site data, with assessment and evaluation
- ground gas and groundwater monitoring
- the production of health and safety plans for the above
- the production of factual reports
- the production of geo-environmental interpretative reports

**What you'll need to succeed**
You'll also need:

- A relevant degree and proven experience of working in a consultancy on geo-environmental projects
- Experience in undertaking geo-environmental assessments and reporting and confidence to lead them
- An understanding of geotechnical assessments and reporting
- Commercial awareness
- Willing to supervise team members
- Strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively and intuitively either alone or in a small team.
- Sound communication and personal effectiveness skills.
- A developing ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- A full UK Driving Licence (manual).
- Membership of professional organisation (e.g. IEMA, CIWEM, IES)
