In this role, you will collaborate with a team of nine colleagues, contributing to the delivery of clinical skills sessions and facilitating small group problem-based learning sessions. The successful applicant will contribute to the Department’s research, teaching, and external engagement, including through
- Supporting and leading the delivery of the Physician Associate programme and the delivery of other modules as appropriate and depending upon experience and expertise.
- Taking responsibility for the design, content, and delivery of specific areas of teaching and learning.
- Contributing to the wider student experience through personal tutoring, classroom teaching and providing support in and outside the classroom.
- Assisting in student recruitment activities, including interviews, open days, and external recruitment events.
- Helping students on clinical placements; delivering research impact; pursuing opportunities for industrial engagement; enhancing the University’s reputation with professional bodies
- There is a requirement for the applicants to maintain clinical practice during their tenure.
We are looking for someone with qualifications and experience in healthcare. You could be a Medical Associate Professional, Doctor, Nursing or Allied Healthcare Professional. You should hold a professional registration such as GMC/NMC/HCPC or be a member of the appropriate MVR. Successful applicants will also hold or be willing to obtain Fellow status at the Academy of Higher Education. You should also have the ability to work with a range of learners. An understanding of clinical programmes is an important attribute, as is the desire to contribute to a positive, collegiate environment, building good relationships with students, industry partners and colleagues.
