**Salary: c£23,790.00 per annum pro rata (actual £19,032.00)**

**Hours: 30 per week (permanent), 2pm finish on a Friday**

**Monday and Tuesday: 8.30am-3.00pm**

**Wednesday: 8.30am-5.00pm**

**Thursday 8.30am-3.00pm**

**Friday:8.30-12.30pm**

**Location**: North Leeds Office

For over 145 years, Leeds Jewish Welfare Board has provided support the Jewish community and North Leeds community. Our vision is to positively change lives and we do this by delivering an extensive range of community support and registered care services to over 1,000 people every month.

**Role Summary**

We are looking for an Early Years Coordinator to join our Children and Families Team to support the creation and delivery of a range of provision for young children. This includes our daily our Stay and Play sessions for babies and children aged 0-5 years, which are held in our dedicated playroom. Our sessions aim to provide a range of stimulating activities to support learning through play and provide the opportunity for parents and carers to make new friends and learn how to support their children’s development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To develop and coordinate the delivery of a range of creative and stimulating activities for babies and young children, with an emphasis on child-initiated play.
- To lead on the delivery of activities, which include singing, arts and crafts, rhymes and reading stories
- To ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment for children and their parents and/or carers
- To support parents and carers to engage in their children’s learning and development
- To work as part of a team to plan and deliver a range of inclusive activities, which includes wider family members, during school holidays

**Person Specification**:

- Level 2/ 3 Childcare qualification or relevant equivalent
- Sound knowledge and understanding of EYFS and early childhood development
- Proven experience of working within an early years or childcare setting
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
- Enthusiasm for working with babies and young children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The role would suit someone with Early Years Practitioner or Room Leaders experience.
