Catering and Domestic Assistant

Radio City School are recruiting for a Catering & Domestic Assistant to join our support team

We are looking for passionate people, who can promote healthy eating and provide varied meals that meet the requirements set out by the Scottish Government and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting with the cooking within the school to deliver healthy, varied and nutritious diets for young people and the staff within the school. In addition, supporting the housekeeping team with making sure our sites are safe and comfortable whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping.

**The role**:

- Provide support to the School Cook to prepare all meals daily within Radio City School.
- Assist in the ordering and supply of all necessary foodstuffs.
- Assist pupils with the preparation of snacks and meals.
- Take account of healthy eating guidelines, special dietary foods, and food allergies of individual pupils.
- Identifies and reports damage, faults, and other related issues to the line manager to ensure the environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
- To be responsible for the highest standards of food hygiene and risk assessment.
- Assist the School Cook to clean all areas of the kitchen.
- To work alongside the domestic staff to clean the designated areas of the school each day.
- Assist in the ordering of cleaning products in conjunction with the line manager.
- Ensure that accurate records are maintained and comply with organisational expectations.
- Be flexible, where required to assist in the cover of staff absence, annual leave cover and school events.
