Security Consultant

**Salary**: Upto £65,000 DOE

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Onsite expectation 1 day per week travel expenses paid)

Are you interested in an IT Security Consultant role with a major financial services organisation based in the North West of England.

This is an excellent opportunity to be in a stand-alone role where you will have to play a major part in improving the overall IT Security of the organisation. You will be working closely with the CIO on this project.

You will be responsible for defining the roadmap for IT security controls in IT systems and advising on their effectiveness across the estate feeding into future planning and budgeting processes and producing business cases.

You will be reporting to key stakeholders in the organisation with your ideas and expertise on IT Security.

Communicate effectively with the project management team and external service providers to ensure financial regulations are adhered to.

**Requirements**:

- Have experience working within a Bank/Financial Institution improving IT Security.
- Microsoft Technologies experience including Windows Servers, Azure and Windows Desktop.
- VMware and Oracle database experience is desirable.
- Security Controls are in place for the delivery of new systems.
- Certifications with ISO 27001, NIST and NCSC are desirable.
