- This role has been categorised as a _**_hub-based_**_ role. This means that you’ll be based at a Thirteen site, primarily because you’re dealing with customers in-person or because you need access to key equipment. You probably won’t travel around the area for work very much and it’s unlikely that you’ll be expected or able to work from home._

**The Role**:

We are recruiting to this post to demonstrate our commitment to this pledge and to support colleagues and the wider group through an exciting new initiative to reduce waste, increase recycling and divert waste from landfill.

Working within our Facilities Management team at our state of the art and innovative Thirteen Recycling Centre (TRC), you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of a high performing waste transfer and recycling facility and in-house waste management service.

The role requires a range of general semi-skilled works, connected with the collection, sorting and disposal of waste. This will include undertaking quality checks to ensure that all works are undertaken to agreed quality standards and providing an effective, high performing standard to improve sustainability and maintain the general appearance of the site.

You’ll work collaboratively with the FM Delivery Manager (TRC), Site Supervisor (TRC), colleagues and partner organisations to provide a flagship waste management service to Thirteen Group, in accordance with best value / continuous improvement and the vision and values of Thirteen.

We’re looking for someone who will demonstrate a real passion for the improvement of our environmental performance, ensuring that what we are doing is beneficial, cost effective and safe.

**The Person**:
We’re seeking a motivated individual with experience of working within the waste industry who can bring their skills and knowledge to the Thirteen Recycling Centre.

We are looking for a person who can demonstrate personal qualities of professionalism, collaboration, drive, and enthusiasm.

You will be responsible for communicating with service users and for ensuring that the site operates in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, environmental and health safety legislation, and achieves our value for money principles.

A full UK driving licence is required and experience of operating specialist equipment such as a telehandler and commercial weighbridge would be of benefit but not essential.
