Syntech Recruitment are partnered with a world-renowned engineering and manufacturing client based close to Reading. As Supplier Quality Engineer you will champion supplier product & process Quality at an operational level, supporting in the achievement ofcompany objectives and targets, ensuring stakeholder requirements are identified and continue to be satisfied. You will work alongside the Quality department taking lead in establishing a world class Supplier Quality Assurance function.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support in maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with vendors
- Visiting vendor facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their capability and competency to procedures.
- Performing regular quality audits to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality.
- Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.
- Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in process and in material failures.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
- Serving as a liaison between our company's senior leadership and vendors to identify quality issues and implement solutions.
- Preparation of FAIRs & internal inspection reports
- Perform Lead/Internal & Support Third-Party Auditing
- Creation of Quality Management System documentation
- Preparing reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data; and making recommendations.
- Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards

**Quality Control Skills and Experience**:

- Development of inspection plans, control plans and work instructions
- Comprehensive knowledge of PPAP & implementation of an SQA function.
- Lead/Internal Audit to management system standards
- Coordination and performance of internal process/product audits
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Visio.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications
- Good knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes, with an ability to provide guidance to improve process efficiency
