Quality Engineer

Carbon60 are currently working in partnership with a leading bespoke micromachining engineering business to recruit a skilled and experienced Quality Engineer based in Abingdon on a permanent basis.


The business are specialists in engineering and producing one of a kind machines that incorporate laser technology, due to a number of contract wins within the medical device sector the company are looking to onboard a Quality Engineer who has experience within the medical device sector.


This will be based on site at there new state of the art manufacturing site based in Abingdon.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with all areas of the business in regards to all quality processes, this would include design, electrical and mechanical divisions.
  • Manager QMS systems (quality management system)
  • Take the lead in quality audits.
  • Monitoring and completion of all quality documentation.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits.
  • Report to the Head of Quality.
  • Attend company meetings to provide input from a quality perspective.


Experience required:


  • The Ideal candidate will have experience working to ISO 14001/ISO 13485 quality standards.
  • Previous experience within a medical device or advanced manufacturing role.
  • Ability to work on own or as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Educated with relevant qualifications in engineering, medical devices or quality.


This is a site based role working 4 days onsite and one day a week from home.
