**About the Trust**
Stepping Hill Hospital is located on Poplar Grove Stockport, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is on-site parking (fees will apply). It has an on-site restaurant where staff are eligible for a discount. There is also a café where drinks and light snacks are available. There are also on-site shops and free Wi-Fi.
**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Act as first point of contact for all communications to the Director and deal with all such communications appropriately, including exchange of sensitive or contentious information.
- To provide an administration and secretarial service to Director and members of the Senior Management Team on a day-to-day basis.
- Receive, sort and use own initiative in dealing with post that may contain sensitive or contentious information as appropriate, including any routine responses.
- Prepare the Women and Children matrix of meetings report annually.
- To receive and process incoming and outgoing mail and identify priority items.
- Greet visitors and provide hospitality as required.
- The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above._
**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Good General Academic education to GCSE level, including Maths & English
- Secretarial / Word Processing qualifications.
- Advanced Typing/Word Processing skills RSA III or equivalent
- Knowledge of data manipulation
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
